It is said that there is a possibility of conducting Regular even semester (Except First year) along with the Re-Examination scheduled to be conducted in June - July, this year. The Final semester exams will be completed at the earliest. Yet, we need to receive notification from Anna University. Hence, Regular students of 4,6 & 8 Semester students are informed to prepare for their regular even semester exams too.
Regarding registration for even semester exams, it will be announced later, after we receive notification from the University

it is not compulsory to write re-exam. if you wish to improve, you can write the reexam otherwise your old grade will be retained
