 The Time table of online theory examination Noc/Dec 2020 is anytime expected.Students are informed to register their email id and mobile No in their web portal login. Still there are OTP issues for some students. As already said, keep trying. Please check spelling in email and numbers in mobile No twice before submitting.

Nov/Dec online Proctored Exam will be in January 2021

 Nov/Dec 2020 Online Proctored Exam will be conducted in January 2021. The Time table will be released at the earliest. This is applicable for regular and all arrear students (from 2017 passed out) who have registered online in till 11th December 2020. There will be practice test for student who can get familiarity to the proctored  online examination. The communication will be sent to the mobile no / Email registered at Coe1 web portal in their student's login.

We have communicated to the University regarding OTP issues. Students who have not yet registered, try to register at the earliest. Keep trying.

Online Practical Exams Dec 2020 - Guidelines

 Online Practical Slot for our College is from 24/12/2020. The students are informed to follow the guidelines below.

1. Mark split up - MCQ - 15 Marks, Lab written materials - 65 Marks, Results - 10, Viva - 10. MCQ will be sent in google class room / google form. you can submit only once. so please ensure & check before submitting.

2. Identify a place in your home / friends / relatives house where you receive continuous internet signal for your laptop / mobile. Please ensure that your internet package lasts for entire 3 hours duration.

3. No internet signal / signal lost cannot be claimed for marks / attendance. No extra time will be given. so plan the place with good internet connectivity in advance.

4. Have sufficient No. of A4 sheets to write the lab procedures etc. All writings should be written in A4 sheet only. So purchase in advance.

5. Write your Register No, lab name & code, date & session in the first page and any other instruction given by internal & external examiners.

6. Camera should be on always.

7. 100 % marks will be awarded by External Examiner. All your queries has to be addressed to examiner. Squad members will also be in the online meeting.

8. You need to scan all the writings and send to the external examiner for evaluation. His/Her mail id will be provided on the date of exam

9. Use Camscanner or similar app to scan the documents and convert into pdf (recommended). Light source should be incident on the document while scanning the document. If your scan document is with low light you may be asked to scan it again and send it.

10. Questions will be allotted randomly and recorded by the external examiner

11. Any kind of malpractice may lead to cancel of all exams in this semester.

12. Do submit your lab records to your faculty incharge (Final year - hard copy, other - scanned copy in pdf format)

13. Representatives can consult the internal examiner and the procedures specific to their lab exam and communicate it to other students in the class. It may avoid confusions.

14. If there is any passed out student, who have lab arrear exams can consult the concerned internal examiner regarding lab record submission or any other procedures.

15. This guidelines may be updated likely. It is recommended to check these guidelines regularly

Practical Record submission related - Nov/Dec 2020 online practical examination

 Final year students are informed to submit the lab records to the staff concerned. Students (Except final year) are informed to submit scan copy of the record to staff concerned. Please contact the staff concerned in this regard.  Apart from submitting soft copy, the Students (Except final year) are informed to submit the hard copy of lab record when they join the college after reopening.

NAD Registration is not a mandatory for online exams

 Students who are appearing for Online Examination have to register for email and phone no at the coe1.annauniv.edu. As already said, students are advised to try to register inspite of OTP problem. 

NAD registration is not mandatory for Online examination. Yet it can be registered after the exam also. Many students are raising complaints regarding NAD registration urgency. Try to Register NAD before the end of this Semester

 As per the latest circular, final year students (UG/PG) will attend their last sem classes in the college for the period Jan to Apr 2021. All other semester students will have online classes in the above period.

OTP Issue - Email / Phone registration - web portal

 Many students are reporting about the OTP issue while registering for email / phone no at Anna University web portal. The issue was already reported to the Anna University through Zonal office by all the colleges. Still now the problem persists. We are following the issue closely. Students are informed not to worry in this issue as the technical lapse lies with the University and all the students will be given a fair chance in the examination. Meanwhile students are advised to keep trying. 

Also students are informed not to call regarding this issue to the exam cell concerned as we couldnt solve the issue from our end as the web portal control is with Anna University. We are continuously monitoring and addressing the issue with the officials concerned.

Practical Online exams from 17/12/2020 to 30/12/2020.

 Students are informed that the practical online exams for Nov/Dec 2020 is rescheduled from 17/12/2020 to 30/12/2020. Students will be attending the practical online exams from their home. Students are informed to identify closed room environment with good internet facility in their home for taking practical online examination. If there is any violation / chats during practical examination will be considered malpractice. The entire practical session will also be monitored by internal, external, exam cell, zonal office, Anna University  and squad members separately. 

Practical Exam marks - MCQ - 15, Aim, Procedure, flowchart/circuit diagram/block diagram/mechanical design etc/calculations/inference etc - 65 marks, Result - 10, viva - 10

Practical examination may be done using open source tools. Please contact your Faculty incharge for further details.

Students have to write 65 mark category in A4 sheets only. So purchase sufficient A4 Sheets before attending online practical examination. 

Practical examination duration - 3 hours. Please inform your family members & friends not to interact / disturb you in these 3 hours and if any violation it may be considered as malpractice.

Video should be on & your face should be visible during the entire duration. Covering your face / lips will also be seriously viewed. The videos may be recorded and will be viewed later for identifying malpractice if any

If you have friends in 2020 passed out - get their experience from them as many of them were booked for malpractice for violations.

Arrear Subject Registration - Nov/Dec 2020 - last date - 10/12/2020

 Students who didn't register for Arrear exams (from 2017 passed out), are informed that the Registration will also be done on 10/12/2020 also. This the last date and there is no further extension. Both theory and  practical exams are done in online mode only.

Students are informed to contact Exam cell only during office hours 9 AM to 5 PM. In recent days we were receiving more number of calls to the presonal numbers even in wee hours. It is kind request to call in 0424-2533279 Extn 242. 

Personal number calling was accepted during COVID-19 days, where exam cell is not working. But now Exam cell is functioning regularly and it can be reached during office hours in the above phone no. Your cooperation is highly solicited. 

OTP Issue - Communicated to University

 Many Students have complained about the OTP issue during Registration of email and mobile no. The issue has been communicated to Anna University. Still There is no reply so far. Meanwhile all alone we can say is keep trying.

Anna University to conduct arrear exams after direction from HC

 Following a Madras high court direction, Anna University has decided to conduct arrear exams with semester exams for its students. It also opened its web portal for students to register for arrear exams.

After hearing a batch of petitions challenging the government order cancelling arrears exams, the Madras high court restrained universities from declaring all pass without conducting the tests 

The university plans to conduct a 60-minute proctored online test for all students for upcoming semester exams following the Govt's nod

Complete Email id & mobile no in the student login at the earliest - NAD registration information

       The students who are appearing for Nov/Dec 2020 online examination are instructed to upload their email id and mobile number (preferably with internet facility) in their student login at coe1.annauniv.edu.

       At most care should be taken in uploading email and mobile number. Do check twice before submitting the details as you will be receiving all the communication regarding online examination in these two contacts. It cannot be changed at a later time. Do complete the process at the earliest.

         Those students who have not completed the NAD registration is also instructed to complete the NAD registration and inform your NAD id to your advisor. For any doubt you can contact your class advisors. The NAD registration help video links are given below.

Online Registration for Arrear Subjects in Nov/Dec 2020 Examination started

        Anna University has decided  to conduct the ensuing Nov/Dec 2020 end semester examination as proctored online type as it was conducted in the previous terminal semester examinations. In this connection, TN Govt has accorded permission to conduct online examination

        The Registration for the arrear courses for Nov/Dec 2020 has started. The web portal is now opened for registration of the arrear courses. The last date for Registration is 09/12/2020.

       The students who have arrear papers are instructed to pay the arrear fees at college office and show the fee receipt at Exam cell to register online for the arrear subject. Online registration for the arrear exam at the Exam cell is mandatory to appear for the Nov/Dec 2020.

       Students who have paid the arrear fees during Apr/May 2020 are instructed to show the old fee receipt to get online registered at Exam cell.

       It is not applicable for Special Arrear Examination students

College Reopens for Final year from Dec 7, 2020

 As per the latest announcement made by our CM, the UG final year classes will commence from December 7, 2020. The hostels will also be opened. It was already informed by our Hr.Edu. Minister that for PG final year classes commences from December 2, 2020. There is no specification of Nov/Dec 2020 Exams in the announcement.

Anna University circular regarding conduct of practical exams / Theory exams is expected in a day of two. Hopefully, it is expected that practical classes for final years may be conducted from Dec 7, 2020. It will be confirmed only when Anna University releases the circular regarding this.


Nov/Dec 2020 examination is yet to be conducted after approval from TN Govt

 Circular received from Anna University Registrar states that, "As for as Nov/Dec 2020 Examination is concerned, no decision is yet to be taken by the university for want of permission from the TN Govt. As and when permission is accorded by the Govt, Examinations will be conducted. The college will be informed about the conduct of Nov/Dec 2020 Examinations only on the receipt of the Govt order in this regard, in view of prevailing pandemic situation of COVID-19 with a view to ensure safety of the students and faculties concerned".

III Sem Lateral Entry students - Academic Schedule

      The Classes for III Sem Lateral Entry students starts from 16/11/2020 to 16/12/2020. The saturdays & sundays may also be working days. The Time table will be communicated soon. The online examination for these students alone will commence from  21/12/2020.

Supplementary Exam for Final semester Students

 The supplementary proctored online terminal semester examination of Anna University for UG/PG Degree programs will be held from 17.11.2020 to 21.11.2020, to accommodate only the candidates who had technical issues due to internet connectivity & disruption of electricity, absentees, and whose results are mentioned with WHRX (Re-eXam) during the online examinations already conducted during September 2020. The time table will be published shortly

Online Fees transfer instruction

 Students who wish to pay the outstanding fess online are instructed to send the mail to irttaccts@gmail.com mentioning their name, year, branch, transaction id, Roll number and email id whenever they send the money through online.

Nov 2020 Exam will be in online mode

 Anna University has proposed to conduct Nov 2020 Examination in online mode. The following modalities will be followed

1. Duration of Examination - 1 hour

2. Part A - 1 mark (30 Questions) Part-B - 2 Marks (15 Questions)

3. All Questions are in MCQ Pattern

4. 60 marks will be converted to 100 marks for external mark. 

5. Practical exams will be intimated later.

III periodic test starts from Oct 19, 2020

 The students are informed that the 3rd internal test will be conducted from Oct 19, 2020. After the test, practical classes will be conducted either offline or online depending upon the college reopening decision by the TN Govt. For the timetable, students can approach their advisors concerned

Last working day for this semester is Nov 13,2020

 The Academic schedule for this semester is revised by Anna University. As per the new schedule, the last working day is 13/11/2020. Commencement of end semester examination starts from 26/11/2020. Commencement of practical examination starts from 17/11/2020. 

So far it is not clear that how practical classes will be conducted. Let's wait for practical guidelines from University

I internal test likely from 9/9/2020 to 11/9/2020

 It is proposed to conduct I internal test from 9/9/2020 to 11/9/2020. The details of pattern will be issued tomorrow after discussion with HoDs. So Students are informed to take up the test on time and date. The time table will also be issued from concerned HoD. Since it is uncertain in this pandemic situation, conduct of examination is not guaranteed. so students are asked to take up the test seriously as it reflects in your internal marks and subsequent grade if exams are not conducted.
