Updated mobile app for Online Examination - kindly download

 An updated mobile app by solving the issues during mock examination is available in the URL 

https://auseb.azurewebsites.net/

Based on your inputs after the mock test, an updated and more  efficient version of the app (for android mobile users only) is ready to download using the same procedure as before. We request you to delete the Old APP used for Mock test & download and install the new version of the app, before you take the actual examination. By doing this, the minor issues you had during mock will be overcome and your actual exam will be trouble free. The new version is available in the same location/link given two days ago. Laptop users need not bother about this.

For students who missed their online mock exam on Jan 30

Students who missed their online mock exams on Jan 30 are rescheduled today between 11 AM to 12 PM. (One Batch only). This will be the last opportunity for the candidates to experience the examination software.

Do's and Dont's during online examination - guidelines

 To Do

1. Use only Safe Exam Browser (SEB) downloaded from your student login

2. Ensure enough storage space in your Laptop / Mobile to ensure easy & free navigation

3. Use only mouse to answer / scroll during examination

4. Be in the camera screen throughout the entire duration of the exam

5. Be in the closed room during the entire duration of the exam

6. Well inform your family members / friends, not to disturb in between during examination at any situation.

7. Identify the place where you will receive full network coverage well in advance

8. Sit in a position or place your camera, so that your face is always clearly visible in the camera. 

9. Advisable to sit in a position, so that the wall of your room is your background

10. Make yourself free from nature's call during examination. Avoid cold places like hill stations as it may urge you to attend nature's call during examination

11. Well inform your family members not to switch on TVs, FMs or any music equipment / speaking loudly with other family members during your examination as it may create external disturbances. (You need not worry about sounds like barking dog, cattle / bird sounds which indicates warning of sounds - just ignore warning in this case)

12. Use only transparent water bottles (preferable white transparent bottles) alone if you wish to during water in between

13. Uninstall any app that uses webcam / microphone like Microsoft teams, google meet, zoom etc from your device before attending the exam

14. Identify the room in which you are attending the exam with good network connectivity, power, free from external disturbances.

15. Ensure that there is enough battery power in laptop / mobiles and UPS power supply with one hour backup if you are using your desktop for online examination

16. You will be watched at four levels of monitoring system during examination, your entire video (both your face and screen) is recorded, your credibility is analysed by Artificial intelligence software (equipped with analyzing your gestures) and a credibility score is given based on your behavior during the examination. Low credibility score may be seriously reviewed by the authorities during / after completion of examination and there is high chance to get booked under malpractice

Not to do

1. Dont minimize your screen during exams

2. Dont keep any books / study material near you. If it is captured in the camera, it will be considered as malpractice. If required online invigilators may ask you to show your surroundings in the camera (360 degree view) of your device.

3. Dont use Key boards during examination except chatting with online invigilator (proctor) and login.

4. Dont login in multiple devices

5. Dont answer / speak to somebody during examinations

6. Dont leave your place for any reason during examinations

7. Dont shift your place along with your mobile / laptop due to network issue during the online examination

8. Dont sit near open windows

9. Avoid extra lightings / light source behind you face / low light before your face.

10. Dont attend the online exam in open space like open terrace, ground, forest, agriculture fields, temples, parks etc

11. Avoid attending online exam while travelling in cars / other vehicles.

12. Avoid places with external disturbances like market area / background noises in any form ( the sound will also be recorded in the video)

13. Max avoid attending exams in browsing centers

14. Dont cover your eyes / lips using your hand / hair / anything else during examination

15. Avoid wearing masks

16. Dont Use headphones, ear buds or any type of listening materials

17. Dont bend your head or look down / sideways during examination

18. Dont wear sunglasses (can use transparent glasses)

19. Dont entertain any other person in the room in which you are attending the exam

20. Dont have any program / application currently running in the background of your screen during examination

21. Dont take screen shots / photos / record videos of the examination

22. Dont keep other mobiles / desktop / laptop near your mobile / desktop / laptop which is used for online examination. (But you can keep one mobile in camera visibility, only to call help desk in case of any technical issue)

Those who failed to appear for mock exam on Jan 29 can appear today at 4 PM to 5 PM

 University has said that only 50% of the students have attended the mock exam yesterday. It is informed that all the students should have to attend the mock exam. They are given another chance to appear today at 4 PM to 5 PM.

Mock exam, max login attempts, help desk Number - information shared.

Mock exam is only for 2017 Regulation Students. 

Kindly Download SEB app / browser. Students have to attend the mock exam only through the SEB App / Browser. The details is already posted in this blog. 

The mock exam is scheduled on Jan 29 and 30. However, those who miss mock exam on Jan 29 can appear for mock on Jan 30 jan (4-5pm) and those who miss on Jan 30 can appear for mock on Jan 31 (either 9-10 or 11-12) details rescheduled will be sent to the candidates by mail. The students to clarify any difficulty through the helpdesk number (08068916400). The helpdesk would be active from 7.30 am to 6pm during all days of exam. (Please dont call IRTT Exam Coordinators, as we can not solve any technical issue during online exams - call helpdesk)

During online exams, if there is unexpected logout, wait for 3 minutes before trying to login. Max of 10 login attempts are permitted. If u try to login within 3 minutes after logout, login attempt will be incremented at the same time you cannot login. If max login attempts expire, the student may be writing the pen and paper exam in the college on a latter date scheduled by Anna University.

In this online examination, the system will randomly allocate students to each online invigilator. The software is programmed such that, the students belonging to a college will not be allotted to the online invigilator of the same college.

For 2013 and the previous regulation students will be separately informed regarding the mock test after publishing the time table for them. The online exam for 2013 Regulation students is likely to be conducted from Feb 13, 2021

IRTT 2017 Regulation - OTP issues in mobile no & Email update - fill up google form - Last date 27/1/2021- 4 PM

 The IRTT students (2017 Regulation) who have not yet registered their email id & Mobile no for online Examination Feb 2020 at web portal or those who are with OTP issues still, are informed to fill the google form link given below on or before 27/1/2021 - 1 PM.

Please check twice before submitting the google form

Only those IRTT students fall under the above category should fill up the form.

Already registered candidates should not fill the google form as it may create additional problem

Attention - Students who have not yet paid college fees

 With reference to the Principal's circular today, all UG and PG students (Academic year 2020-21) are instructed to pay the outstanding fees immediately. Some students have paid partial and some of the students have not paid any fees for the academic year even after repeated instructions.

It is here by informed that, the exam fees for the forthcoming online exams will not be paid to the University for the students who have not cleared the outstanding college fees. The same information will be conveyed by the class advisors. The fees can be paid online or at the college office. Students can contact college office  for online payment information. Do treat this as most urgent.

Postponement of Saturday online exams

 Originally scheduled online exams of saturdays (Feb 6 & 13, 2021) is postponed to Feb 16 & 17, 2021 respectively. Students kindly note the changes.

Registration for Special Arrear candidates started. See web portal for further information

 Special Arrear candidates who have not registered in Feb/Mar 2020 can register for the University Exams now. Those who have already registered for the exams, need not register again.

A Special fee of Rs. 5000/- is to be paid by the students along with normal examination fee for each paper.

 Anna University is likely to conduct Regular & Arrear Exams separately. Also it is more likely to conduct Regular exams after Jan 20.After completion of Regular exams, arrear exams may be conducted. The Time table for the exams may be released within a week

Students are instructed to register Email & Mobile No - Last date is 12/01/2021

 Anna University had informed the students to register their Email id & Mobile No in the student login at coe1 web portal. This is for the student who have not registered so far. Anna University has also released a list of students, whose email & mobile no has to be verified. The class advisor is now empowered to see the details posted in the Institution's web portal. Last date is 12/01/2021.

Alternatively the representative can contact the advisor to know the list of students in their class and inform them

So far the timetable for theory exam is not released, 

Since the list of students, who have not registered so far includes even before 2013 Regulation, Special arrear candidates may also be listed. The list is given to the concerned college.

Many special arrear candidates have approached IRTT for registration purpose. Those students are informed to contact their respective colleges. 

However, there is no intimation of conducting Special arrear exams as of now.

TANCET Registration - Reg

Applications for Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2021 conducted by Anna University, Chennai on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu from candidates who seek admission to M.B.A., M.C.A. and M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Arch. / M.Plan. Degree Programmes for the academic year 2021-2022 offered at University Departments, University Colleges of Engineering, Regional Campuses of Anna University, Annamalai University, Government and Government Aided Colleges (Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges) and Self-financing Colleges (Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges including stand-alone Institutions) in Tamil Nadu can be registered only through Online. Some Universities and Self-Financing Engineering Colleges may also opt to admit the candidates on the basis of score obtained in TANCET 2021. Other State candidates can appear for the entrance test, but the eligibility conditions will be stipulated by the admitting authority / University.
