Downloading hall ticket & Email id update - Certain instruction.

 Many students were calling to Exam cell regarding issues in hall ticket downloading. At present the Anna University server is busy. Try to download at later time. Make sure that you download the hall ticket before your first online exam. Exam cell could not help in this regard.

Some students are calling for mail id change. Changing of mail id is to be done at Anna University only. We are directed by Anna University to use the email of the students that is supplied by Anna University only. So students are instructed to contact web portal of Anna University in this regard. Exam cell could not help in this regard

Regular students are instructed to Check mail id and phone no in student login

    2017 Regulation students who are appearing for Nov/Dec 2021 online examination are instructed to verify their mobile no and email id in the web portal and if there is any change, use your student login to update. If you couldnt update, please contact web portal dept of University to change their email or phone no. University phone is available in google.
     This time question paper will be sent to the email id or google class room based on your email id registered with university.

Download hall ticket from student login

 The students are instructed to download the hall ticket from student login. It should be produced whenever asked by CoE office / Zonal office / Exam Cell. Failure to download the hall ticket, from the student login will lead to rejection of answer scripts. It is applicable for all registered students to download hall ticket from student login even if they had already got the hard copy of hall ticket from college

Further it is instructed, students should use their email id registered with the University alone for all communications like submission of papers or any correspondence. Using other email ids cannot be claimed in case of discrepancy. University had already notified the Colleges regarding the email id / Phone Nos of the all the students registered at the centre. 

A detailed instruction for students of our college, regarding the forthcoming online exam process, will be issued by this week end. We need to conduct meeting with all the staff members involved to discuss the difficulties in earlier online process and frame new / updated methods of posting question papers and receiving soft and hard copies on 27/1/22 and detailed instruction will be issued  at least by 29/1/22.

Special Arrear candidates are instructed to contact their home college

 The Special arrear candidates are advised to contact their home college for online exams. The choice of centre chosen stands cancelled for online examination. They need to send all the soft and hard copy of the answer scripts to the home college (or the college directed by home college in case of autonomous / low arrear strength).

For all Special arrear IRTT students, they need to send soft and hard copy of the answer scrips to IRTT and follow the instruction specific to IRTT. It is applicable to the IRTT students, who have chosen some other college as Exam centre,

Nov/Dec 2021 Exams will conducted online

Nov/Dec 2021 Semester Exams will be conducted online as per the TN Higher Education Ministers interview yesterday. Detailed instruction will be posted in this blog once we receive guidelines from University. We couldnt post this news in the blog yesterday as we were waiting for some clarifications from Anna University, but still we didnt receive it. Exams will be conducted from Feb 1,2022. We will update the information on this within a day or two.

Practical Exams postponed

 Practical Exams are postponed at a later date. However, the students are advised to get the hall ticket from their class advisors. The college will be functioning on all working days. As per trusted source, there will not online theory exams. As per the latest information, theory exams will be conducted as usual.

Special arrear candidates are instructed to get the hall ticket at Exam cell on all working days. There are certain procedures to be completed before getting the hall ticket. So it is better to get the hall ticket before the exams

Permitted calculators for Anna University Exams & Internal tests

The Scientific calculators that are permitted in the continuous assessment test and end Semester Examinations are as follows:

1. Use of the following calculators in examinations is permitted: Non-Programmable. silent hand held, self-contained, single line display or dual line display calculators.

2. Use of the following calculators in Examinations is prohibited:
a) Programmable calculators are prohibited.: The term "Programmable" includes any calculator that is capable of storing a sequence of keystrokes that can be retrieved after the calculator is turned off or powers itself off.
b)Calculators with any of the following mathematical features are prohibited: Graph plotting, Equation solving, Symbolic Algebraic Manipualation, Numerical Integration, Numerical differentiation and Matrix calculations.
c)Calculators with any of the following facilities are prohibited: Storing and retrieving text, personal organisers, graphical calculators, Data banks, Dictionaries, Thesauruses and language translators, capability of remote communication.

3. The use of prohibited calculators will be considered as malpractice/misconduct. The candidate must clear any stored memory from the calculator, if any. If the calculator is found to have items in the memory, this may be considered academic misconduct. Visual checks will be conducted during examinations by hall invigilators

ANNA UNIVERSITY – SPECIAL ARREAR EXAMINATION – NOV/DEC 2021

INSTRUCTION TO CANDIDATES

1.  Candidates with no photos in their Hall Ticket must paste their recent passport size photo in the Hall ticket issued and to be attested by a Gazetted Officer who is not below the rank of A or B Grade of State or Central Government Services.

 2.  In order to confirm their identity, candidate must bring any one Original, Non-laminated Government Issued ID cards like Aadhar Card, Driving License, PAN card, Voter ID or Passport during their Examinations. Please ensure that the photo and spelling of name exactly matches. Xerox copies, Print out copy (like aadhar) of any ID cards will not be accepted.

 3.  Students will be permitted to write the exam(s) which is/are mentioned in the Hall Ticket only.

 4.  Candidates must follow the instructions printed at the back of the Hall ticket.

 5.  Candidates are instructed to be present in the exam hall 10 minutes prior to the commencement of the examination.  (Morning – 9.50 AM    Afternoon – 1.50 PM).

 6.  No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall after the commencement of examination. (Morning – 10 AM afternoon – 2 PM)

 7.  Under extra ordinary situation candidate will be allowed up to 30 Minutes upon receiving a written permission from Principal/Chief Superintendent

 8.  Candidates are not permitted to keep/use their mobile phones or electronic gadgets inside the examination hall.

 9.  It is the full responsibility of the candidates for their belongings. The college or the staff is not responsible for any kind of loss of belongings

 10.      The list of permitted calculators is already posted in the irtt exam cell blog. Kindly adhere to it.

11.      If you miss the hall ticket, a fine of Rs. 100/- should be paid at the college office for issuing duplicate hall ticket and produce the receipt along with a letter requesting duplicate hall ticket at the Exam Cell. The duplicate hall ticket will be issued only once. If duplicate hall ticket is requested for the second time and thereafter candidate must approach Anna University, Chennai only.

 12.      Data books if any will be permitted only if it is mentioned in the question paper. Only publisher printed copy of the data book will be permitted.

 13.      Please intimate the exam cell, whether any of your subjects need any graph / Drawing sheets / any other materials - while receiving your hall ticket.

 14.      All guidelines issued to the regular students will apply to the candidates also while writing your examination.

 15.      The Hall Allocation Will be posted in the exam cell blog at 8.00 a.m for FN session and 12.00 p.m for AN session on the date of exam.

16.      Malpractice cases in any form if any, will be booked certainly.

 17.      The last date for receiving the Hall Ticket is 12.01.2022. (Only on working Days, Saturday & Sunday are holidays.) Normally, requesting hall ticket on the date of exam will not be entertained. There are certain procedures for special arrear candidates, and candidates are thus advised not to request the hall tickets at the last minute to avoid unnecessary tension.

 18.      Candidates must bring all those materials (like pen, scale, pencil, eraser, calculator etc) required for the exams on their own. Borrowing inside the exam hall is strictly prohibited.

 19.      Candidates are advised to bring filled up transparent water bottle if required. Candidates will not be allowed to go to rest rooms in the middle of the exams. Do prepare yourself to adhere to the above.

Get Hall tickets from Class advisor

 The Hall tickets were generated and the hard copy of the hall ticket will be sent to the department by wednesday (5/12/2022). The students are instructed to clear dues if any for receiving hall tickets. Keep the hall tickets safe, if you are applying for scholarship. 

Wearing College ID card is compulsory for the students during practical and theory examination. Students who have lost the college ID card can contact the college office at the earliest.
